Daily Word

Hello everyone hope you all had a great weekend. I did with my kiddos and mom n law. I have been thinking about something that I always wanted to do. I have always been envious of people that do devotionals everyday. I tried many times but I never found the right book or the time or effort mostly to carry it out. Plus I didn't really want to just open the Bible and start reading without some order. To put it plainly I just never really tried or made it an importance in my life. Our pastor suggested reading 4 books to start out. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, he said altogether there is only 89 chapters. That's nothing he pointed out. That if we just read 1 chapter a day in 3 months our lives would be changed tremendously. I am all for that, to be spiritually and emotionally changed for the better. To spend minutes reading and praying for Gods guidence over his words on a daily basis should come natural to us. We should want to learn more and strive to become better in his light. I am very ashamed that I have not done it sooner or that I have not made it a priorty in my life. This is part of the rearranging I was talking about the other day. The world from every angle tells us we don't have enough time to move fast or you will miss out. We do hundreds of things on a regular basic everyday and we make sure we make time for them. Like our moring coffee, brushing our teeth, makeup, taking a shower, working out, eating 3x's a day. Most of these things take more then a few minutes to do, so why can't we make time for God to speak to us on a one on one basis everyday. SIMPLE we choose not to. So I challenge you to read along with me these 4 books of the Bible and see what God can do in your life
